Recent Powerball Winner Covers Rent for Whole Neighborhood

(NEWSER) – Pedro Quezada won a $338 million Powerball jackpot—and he's using it to pay his New Jersey neighbors' rent, a friend tells the New York Daily News. "He’s such a good guy," the buddy says. "He said he’s going to pay the rent for everybody here on this block for at least a month or two." Said another neighbor: "God bless him, and thank you." And while a friend says Quezada has now paid the $29,000 in child support he owed, the AP reports the 44-year-old is due to today appear in state Superior Court in Paterson, for an afternoon hearing stemming from a child support warrant he had been issued.
